The Bad Plus - Suspicious Activity? (2005)

My friend Annis (you can go to his blog on the right, Vital Transformation) showed me this band the other day and all i had to say was, "WOW". It's just a pianist, a bassist and a drummer but their sound is so complete and just really flows together. They play some really interesting combinations of progressive rock and jazz although the jazzy feel is definitely prominent in this album. They also have a bunch of videos on youtube that are really intense so check those out too.
